Thank you so much for allowing me to connect with you over email 💌
I apologize for not showing up here for a couple of weeks. Let's just say there has been a lot happening and my email efforts have failed. I always hope that by sharing stories and experiences I've had and from the BTRIBALFIT Community as well you find this newsletter valuable and motivational 🥳
We've already set our clocks forward and this weekend will usher in a new month (yeah for all new workouts 🏋🏻♀️)! At the same time, seasonal change can be hard and our bravery meter can run low.
Which got me thinking... why are we as women sometimes so afraid of change? Whether it's our hair, our clothing style, our daily routine, our friend group, or our restaurant order, change is difficult.
Here's the deal... Change to us, is very different than change from us. In one we make the choice and in another, it's made for us.
So, here are a few reasons I came up with that explain why change in your life can be difficult and I'd love to know if you identify with any of them.
1. 😟 Fear of the unknown: You may be hesitant to try new things because you're unsure of what to expect. The unknown can be a powerful deterrent, like figuring out a new workout style or trying a new recipe.
2. 😩 Fear of failure: You might worry about not being good enough or failing at something new and become paralyzed. All the negative “what if’s” creep in and take over.
3. 😌 Comfort Zone: You may just feel comfortable in your current situation and worry that trying something new will disrupt your routine and stability. Change never happens in your comfort zone.
4. 😵💫 A lack of confidence: You may not believe in yourself or your abilities, which can make you hesitant to take risks. If you've never been ok starting out as a beginner you'll lack the confidence to try.
5. 🥴 Perfectionism: You may have unfair high standards for yourself and fear making mistakes or not doing things perfectly.
6. 🤕 Past experiences: You may have had negative experiences in the past that have made you hesitant to try new things. History has taught you not to change for fear of being hurt.
I'd love to know if you are seeking change in your life in any way right now. You can reply back and share directly or members can post in our Tribe Community what change they are wanting to see and why it may be proving difficult.

I was praised for self-silencing & applauded for shrinking Hi friend, For most of my life, I lived up to being a Good Girl. Not because I was naturally quiet or compliant — I was actually wild, brave, loud, and full of fire. But early on, I learned the unspoken rules: Be sweet.Be agreeable.Be polite.Be small. Every room taught me something about who I was “supposed” to be — as a daughter, as a woman, as a wife, and especially as a Christian. And I followed those rules so wellthat I forgot I...
The Unplugging: From Punishment (From Myself) (Series 2 of 5 — The Unplugging Series) Unplugging from punishment, learning (all over) how to move with love not fear. It started as my dad’s voice. Then the church’s.And somewhere along the way, it became my own. For most of my life, I didn’t realize how deeply I was plugged into punishment. It started with someone else’s voice — 🌬️ a dad who made fitness an idol, who equated beauty with approval, who demanded performance over peace. And...
